Pre-Race Schedule of Festivities* With the drop of the green flag, NASCAR will begin its 60th season of competition
* Richard Petty will wave the green flag for the 50th Daytona 500
* The 24 living champions of the Daytona 500 will serve as the grand marshals
* 1960 Daytona 500 Champion Junior Johnson will drive the 2008 Corvette pace car
* The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will handle flyover duties
* Brooks & Dunn, Michael McDonald, Chubby Checker, and Kool & the Gang will perform a pre-race concert

1:30pm: Sprint Cup Driver's Meeting
2:00pm: FOX Sports Pre-Race Coverage Begins
2:30pm: Driver Introductions
3:30pm: Green Flag, 50th Daytona 500 (FOX Sports, MRN Radio)

wow, that was an awesome race. i watched it on TV. i'm very glad there are still some snacks left. i'd love to raise a toast to our very own Sammy the Whappenator Meezer!
mommy, daddy and i cheered from our sofa. my beans are coughing up, well, hairballs and I kept them quite, but i couldn't end the day without visiting the M-Cats Club and my friends!
Well, gess Zippy and I will scoop Speedy up and head home...great party Tigger! Sammy's driving was incredible, the pit crew so fast and talented and da food and drink was wonderful but da best part of da whole thing was hanging out wif our frends! Yoo is all so incredible!
